Life has a way of throwing us curve balls that we're forced to deal with and persevere through. We have grades to keep up, a social life to maintain, jobs to manage, and (for some of us) bills to pay. It's A LOT...

But what if in addition to juggling all of these things, you were without a proper home?

Well, that was the case with Jacob Lewis, a 22-year-old boy from the UK who, due to personal family problems, left home and spent his nights couch-surfing with friends and working tirelessly to make ends meet.

However when Lewis lost his job after asking for time off to study for his exams, he wound up living on the street with barely enough money to afford to eat. Surprisingly though, his education wasn't starved.

Even with his challenges, Lewis should truly act as an inspiration to us all. He kept his focus on education and proceeded to spend countless hours reading and completing his assignments in the only place he could find proper shelter: a local library. Sources say Lewis could be found spending up to 12 hours at a time in the library!
And when put to the test, his long hours spent studying definitely paid off. Lewis was able to ace his exams and be granted admission into Cambridge University, a prestigious institute in Cambridge, UK, to study law.

...talk about a happy ending! See, kids? Hard work really DOES pay off!
