Disney princesses all have a few things in common: They're beautiful, they're diverse, they're loved by millions of people worldwide and...they're all incredibly badass!
Take the female leads in movies like The Little Mermaid, Mulan, Pocahontas or Princess and the Frog - they all featured independent women who chased after the things that they wanted despite what society had to say. Nothing says #BUILTBYGIRLS more than that, amirite?!
And we think the world would agree with that it's definitely time to add another Disney princess to the mix.
At Disney's past D23 Expo, spectators were able to grab a first look at Disney's newest Polynesian princess, Moana! (pictured below)
Moana is the self-titled story of young woman who sets off to discover her destiny out in the open sea. Her journey is not only expected to thrill viewers with an innovative and unique story line, but it is also expected to introduce numerous characters that we're all bound to fall in love with.
Disney Insider's blog post tells us that not only is Moana someone that is highly-anticipated, but so are her "sidekicks," a pig named Pau and a rooster named Hei-Hei.
The anticipated release date of the newest princess is November 23, 2016 and, if you're like all of us here at Cambio, you'll literally be counting down the days until she arrives!
